In Finnish, ”Aallon harjalla” means ”on the crest of a wave”. In this design, it is also a word play with the words ”aalto” (a wave) and ”harja” (a horse’s mane). Together they create the horse head wave pattern on the design.
Bamboo dish cloth is a Kierti classic – it has been in production since 2008. The dish cloth is made of two layers of Finnish bamboo stretch terry and is highly absorbent. It is suitable as a dish cloth in the kitchen as well for all kinds of cleaning in the house. In dusting, the product works well both dry and wet due to its texture. Because of its great ability to absorb moisture, the bamboo dish cloth dries a little slower than the hemp dish cloth. Despite that it will not start to smell musty very easily. The material is 82% soft bamboo viscose and 18% polyester to improve the durability. Wash in 60 C.
Production: The material arrives in Finland as yarn and is knitted into fabric in Orivesi. The fabric is hand screen printed in Porvoo where the products are also sewn and finalised.
